Hi, I’m Brad. I’m a psychotherapist.

Whether you’re trying to get to the bottom of things or just trying to stay on top of them, I can help.

Your relationships are precious. That’s why my focus is on helping you connect with the people who matter most. For most people, that means deepening your understanding of yourself so you can connect at a deeper level with the people you care about.

The Product is Trust

When you come to counselling, you want change, and you want it fast.  My clients trust me because of the benefits they experience in their lives and relationships.  We’ll collaborate on a plan that clarifies goals and maps out a path to achieving success.  I’m going to help you get unstuck, feel like yourself again, and reclaim your future.

Getting Personal

People sometimes ask me why I chose to become a psychotherapist.  After all, that’s not what guys like me are ‘supposed’ to be into.  (Given that around 85% of Registered Psychotherapists are women, I suppose it’s a fair question.)  Well, my ‘things changed when’ moment happened when I was 7 years old.  My mom and sister died in a car accident.  I never got to say goodbye.

One of the ways it changed me was it brought me face to face with the fragility of life.  Sooner than I should have, I learned the importance of making the most of each day.  Since then, I’ve tried to not take my relationships for granted.

As a professional counsellor, my passion is helping people achieve the insights which empower them to live fuller, more satisfying lives.  My favourite part of counselling is the look on someone’s face when they’re experiencing a light-bulb moment, and things click into place.  My commitment to you is I will always give my best effort every session because I never know if it might be the last time I get to be with you.

Clients sometimes ask me, “Don’t you get exhausted doing this all day?”  Nope.  I find it energizing.  Relationships are my Why, and psychotherapy is my How.  And anyway, how tired can I really get, considering I sit for a living?

If you want to talk about exhaustion, that would be what I felt that time in Montreal when I ran a marathon.  But it was worth it because I managed to raise over $9000 in support of the Kakuma Project, which is a great charity whose aim is to provide education to children growing up in the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya.  (That’s about 23¢ a step, in case you’re wondering.)
