Some great news regarding the cost of your psychotherapy services.

I’m writing to share some great news regarding the cost of your psychotherapy services. As of Monday this week, we’ve dropped the HST for all therapy sessions.
The 2023 Fall Economic Statement received royal assent last week and as of June 20, 2024, psychotherapy services are exempt from the HST. This exemption means that you’ll no longer pay HST on your therapy sessions, making therapy more affordable. This change reflects the recognition of the essential nature of mental health services and is a positive step towards making psychotherapy more accessible to all.
We also want you to know that we are taking this opportunity to implement a modest price increase, which will take effect Tuesday, July 2, 2024. (See pricing chart for details, page two, below.)
Even still, you’ll be pleased to see that your online sessions will be noticeably cheaper than before and your in-person sessions will be slightly cheaper than before.
As always, we continue to offer sliding scale services provided by our student therapists so that no one in our community will go without mental health services due to financial challenges.
