Before surgery, my doctor restricted me from lifting anything over five pounds, leading to me becoming out of shape and losing mobility. One day, after pulling a long chain in my yard, I needed a rest and sat on a chair outside. I started doing curls with the chain and was impressed by the resistance it provided. I decided to cut the chain to a more practical length and began using it to work out my upper body. I added handles, clips, and later a pulley system. As I used the chains more, I developed an exercise regimen that made me feel great. By easily adding more chains for increased weight, I was gradually able to lift more after just a month of working out five days a week for 30 minutes.
