Hi there, I’m Suse.  I'm part of the admin team here at Upstream.  

My role is to help steer you to the right person, the right time and the right place.  You tell me what’s best for you, and I do my best to make that happen.  When you connect with me, I'll connect you with the support you need to to move towards better.  

Life presents us with many challenging things.  Whatever your challenging "thing" is, I'm confident our therapists can help you manage it better.  It's what they do.  It's what they've been trained to do.  The Upstream Team is dedicated to helping things be better.

My name is spelled Suse, but you can call me Susie, because that's how my name is pronounced and how it should have been spelled.  The spelling of my name is a long story.  How I landed at Upstream Counselling is another long story.  

Here's a short story.  After studying gerontology at the University of Guelph,  I spent the majority of my life as a recreation director, aka Joy Patrol, for seniors.  I took a few turns into various administrative positions and then lived the sweet life of a chocolatier.  

It's been my experience that most of life’s challenges are greatly improved with good counselling and good chocolate.
